Indoor Microcosms
The indoor microcosm facility consists of 12 fiberglass tanks (2m x 0.5m x 0.2m) with running filtered seawater, artificial lighting, and temperature control, available for coral and macroalgae research and to store recently fragmented corals prior to outplanting.
Outdoor Mesocosm
The outdoor mesocosm facility consists of 4 fiberglass tanks (4m x 2m x 1m) with filtered natural seawater supplied by nearby Bear Cut, Key Biscayne, FL. These tanks are available for various research projects.
